Our yearly fundraising challenge is back this October! We'll be raising money for Wooden Spoon's Dogs for good initiative, which provides children with assistance dogs to support there lives and make life possible. Watch this space for more information and a link to our donation page.

Our fires are officially lit, and that means cozy-ing up by our fire with a glass of red wine, or whatever tipple takes your fancy! No matter the weather, you can be sure to find cozy vibes and warm welcomes with each and every visit to The Wood House

From the 3rd September we will have after school bundles on our kids menu including pizza and soft serve ice cream. Come and bring the kids to the pub any day of the week for the after school club and we will ensure that it wont break the bank, more information to follow, keep an eye out for our back to school offer.

Cowork with us from the pub, with a wide selection of bar snacks, brunch and coffee and beautiful spaces inside and out where else would you want to do a days work... and then we won't tell the boss about the first pint.

Next up in our October charity drive we are hosing family friendly movie nights to help raise money for Dogs for good, we will be showing with Dr Dolittle, with each ticket we will supply the popcorn and we will have extra prizes and competitions. all ticket sales go directly to Dogs for good and help people who face challenges in the lives to live a happier, healthier, more independent lives

Its recycling week here at the woodhouse, set up in our famous Paxton's room will be a book station where you will be able to bring a book and swap it for another, a community Library, this will run all year around. We will be installing a water butt in our garden to collect rain water for the garden and we will be running a bring your own mug initiative, we will run offers on takeaway coffees if you bring your own mug to the pub. This is just part of the sustainable and community pledge from our management team.

No day is more fitting to be International Chefs Day than a Sunday, for us at The Bull! Our chef team, headed by Chef Juan, work tirelessly to deliver fresh premium homemade food and Sundays are our shining glory! YES CHEF.

The night before Halloween know as Mischief Night the Wood House will be running its famous Halloween Quiz, Dress up is a must and pre pare for a night of fun and scare. with prizes for the best dressed and quiz winners we will see you there.
